Telling Prompt:
This has been a bad winter.
Showing Example:
Wow the past winter was a real drag. We had more snow over this past winter than the past 5 years. The sun did not come out hardly at all as it was covered from the clouds majority of the time. There was may days of no school and no work with not being able to get out of the driveway with all the snow we had. Along with the snow came many super cold days way below freezing. This last winter is one that I would much like to forget and hope for a better one this year.

Free Writing Assignement Topic 3
Been on a cruise in the Caribbean?
This trip was a blast and one I will always remember. I had just graduated High School and was 18 years old. The cruise was because my grandparents was celebrating their 50th Anniversary and decided to take a cruise with their whole family. The trip was something I will never forget the fun I had with my family on that ship.
We started out of Miami so I had to fly from North Dakota to Miami and meet up with my family there. First time traveling by myself in a strange area what an adventure. I made it just fine to the ship and waited for the rest of my family to show up before getting on the ship. That was really an experience the steps one has to take to get on the ship.
Once on you get settled into your room and get ready for supper meal. They feed you before taking off for your next destination. The food is all inclusive and boy do they feed you. The drinks is what they make the money off of charging a person almost 5.00 a drink. That first night out on a 7 day cruise was lots of fun. Me and my cousins was the only people that stayed up the first night and hung out. We hit every level on the ship and started to realize that we was missing some people in our group. Soon enough more people went missing and was starting to get real freaky. What had happened is there was a spot on the floor we was on that one could sit on the edge of the boat hidden from everyone else. Looking back very dangerous but when you are young you are fearless.
The rest of the trip we went to several islands in the Caribbean my favorite was the stop at St. Thomas. What a great place to see and visit. There was a side of the island that you get the true experience of a Caribbean island some bay that was there. Had a blast swimming in the ocean learning to snorkel and seeing all the fish on the reefs there.
It was a 7 day cruise and packed full of fun and memories with all the places we stopped and things we did. So much fun and one I suggest that everyone at some point in their lives get out and do.

Tried Scalloping in the Gulf of Mexico?
If you do not know what scalloping is then here is a brief description for you. Think of it as a creature that lives in a clam shell. It lives on the coast lines in shallow areas. At least it is easier to get to them in shallow waters then in the deep oceans.
I was able to go and attempt my luck at scalloping in the Gulf of Mexico this last summer. We was down there at the start of July visiting my mother that lives down there. She has a boat that they like to use for fishing and scalloping on the gulf. The trip to the Gulf of Mexico or Crystal River area near Tampa Bay is about an hour and half from her place in center Florida.
The experience of getting out to the beds that they live on and seeing one for the first time is amazing. They are neat creatures that surprisingly can swim inside that shell. How you catch them is you snorkel around your boat to stay safe from other boats in the area. When you see one you dive down about 5 or 6 feet to get it. Make sure to grab it good and try to grab them from behind or they might pinch you.
I was not as successful catching them as my step dad was. But when you normally have to wear classes and can not see because you did not have any contacts with that makes it tough to see. My wife was with me and would swim with me and point them out when she would see one. Then I would dive down to get it for her as she could not dive with the snorkel gear on it was tough for her to get that concept. IF you ever get the chance make sure you get out and try it once what a blast I had doing it.

Dialogue Assignment
Early Sunday morning looking over the newspaper. Sitting at the kitchen table enjoying a cup of coffee with my wife. When a growl comes from my stomach that tells me I am hungry.
I turn to my wife and commented “Want to go out for breakfast. How much money do you have?”
She replies “Let me look. I have about thirty-five cents.”
“Thirty-five cents?” in amazement I said.
The answer I get from her is “Yes you took all the rest of my money yesterday”.
Not wanting to bring that up I was quick to change the subject and said “That is fine, my treat then”.
She answers “if your buying then lets get going”.
So we get in the vehicle with the paper and off we go to feed my starving stomach.

Free Writing Assignement Topic 1
Taken a trip over 1500 miles in a van with 7 people?
This is my first attempt at free writing so I will do my best around staying on topic and making it meaningful. The trip mentioned was when as a family we visited relatives that at the time lived in North Carolina. At the time we took the trip we was living in North Dakota. The seven people mentioned was the following my wife Patty, son Levi, mother in law Sandy, father in law Dave, sister in law Katie, brother in law Danny.
It was in the year of 2005 sometime in the summer time. We had planned to travel together and surprise my other brother in law that was stationed in Marines in North Carolina. The kids was between the ages of 3 and 12. That of course made us decide to travel at night the first part of the trip. In fact we went for 24 hours straight and then rested in West Virginia someplace. The next day finished the rest of the trip and spent some really good quality family time visiting her family. We was there to see my niece turn one.
During the trip we did not get out much as it was a short visit only being about 4 days long. We did make it to the beach on one of the days. We went to a beach near there and had a great time. I remember doing some body surfing from the waves of the ocean and building sand castles with the kids. The family enjoyed burying me in the sand. Good thing water is nearby and washed off afterwards because sand does not feel good in places like your ears.
The return trip in the vehicle was probably what seemed to be the worst if I remember. The time it took for sure seemed to take longer then the trip there. Again we traveled at night and made it almost 24 hours before stopping in Minnesota. Word to the wise if you travel with that many people make sure you have a bigger van with more room and plenty for the people to do to stay busy.

Google Docs assignment
So once again Google has out done themselves. After I went and viewed the link below it was amazing to see how Google docs really worked. It is very exciting to think the way that Google has with having capabilities like this. A person can now go to a website and view all of their documents and files no matter what computer or device they are on.
While testing this out for my work I uploaded pictures to Google docs by automatic upload from my Android device. It was amazing to see how that all worked for me. After taking the picture I did absolutely nothing to have it uploaded to my docs site. Later in the day when working from my office I could see the photos right there in a nice album format. That was a huge time saver because, before I would have to figure out a way to get my picture off that device and on my computer.
It was amazing when I realized that I could access that file from any computer or device I wanted. Not only will it work for me having the pictures available, but also all the different files a person will use for both work and personal needs. I will be spreading the word to many on the new Google capabilities I have just learned about. Go ahead and take a look at the video on Google Docs and the other on Google+. Everyone enjoy it will blow your mind.
Sincerely,
Robert Morphew Jr
